"If Johnny Sansone had only put out one album,

The Lord is Waiting and The Devil is Too (2011)

would be good enough for me to put him in the

same knitch with his mentors, Howlin' Wolf and

Jr. Wells ... "

Don Wilcock, BluesBlast Magazine

Hello, and welcome. I hope y'all are doing alright out

there. Strange times, indeed.

On a happy note: We had a heck of a good time the other night. The "Cant Stop the Blues" folks sponsored a live presentation with my whole band, together again, on a responsibly distanced stage set. John Fohl, Jeffrey Bridges, John Milham, and myself … playing together for the first time in a long time. There were lots of smiles that night … along with a few tears.

In case you missed the live presentation, or just want to see it again, here's a link to the recording. Enjoy!!

"If you don’t already know who Johnny Sansone is, it’s high time you found out about him ..."

"The energy level peaks so hard it could easily fly off the rails, but the perfectly balanced production from (Anders) Osborne, and the finishing touches from Trina Shoemaker’s superb mixing, keep the buzz and distortion from turning into a train wreck. That’s how you catch lightning in a bottle."

John Swenson, Offbeat Magazine

"This is the record I've dreamed of making for a long time. These songs cover a lot of new ground and different directions for me.

I think the recordings reflect the fun we had in the studio, working with my long time friend and producer, Anders Osborne, along with the North Mississippi Allstars brothers, Luther and Cody Dickinson. Everyone played multiple instruments and the songs came to life through sheer inspiration.

All that, combined with the engineering and mixing skills of multi Grammy Award winner, Trina Shoemaker, and working in the brand new, state of the art studio, Dauphin Street Sound, in Mobile, AL, made a dream come true.

I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did making it."
